Girls Scouts to host Mother's Day teaThe Westborough Girl Scout troop 30635 is sponsoring a Mother's Day Tea on May 6th from 2 to 4 p.m All are invited to bring a mom, grandmother, aunt, sister or special friend to enjoy the afternoon. It takes a community to raise children today. These scholarships will be awarded tostudents interested in pursuing a college major in landscape architecture,botany, environmental engineering or a related field at a two or four year college. — Wicked Local Westborough Your News: WASA donates to the Guide Dog Foundation for the Blind, Inc.This past month WASA (Westborough Athletic Social Association) donated $1000 to the Guide Dog Foundation for the Blind on behalf of “Champ.” Champ, a Labrador Retriever, has spent the last 13 months in Westborough with puppy raiser and WASA member Jim Meikle. Puppy raisers are essential members of the Foundation family whose mission is: To improve the quality of life for people that are blind, visually impaired or have other special needs. Puppy raisers open their hearts and home to a Foundation puppy and teach the puppy basic obedience and social skills while exposing it to many different situations. Hagens, a Junior and member of Villanova University's swim team, recently competed at the Big East Championships and USA Swim Grand Prix Meet at Ohio State University in prep for the trials later on in March. — Wicked Local Westborough More News
