Middle school asbestos removal halted in Concord
Concord Middle School Principal Lynne Beattie, along with school administration, met with staff members at the Peabody building of Concord Middle School on Thursday and apologized for not communicating sooner about asbestos removal being done in the building’s boiler room earlier in the week. — Wicked Local Concord

Three percent turnout at polls in Middleton
Of the 5,268 registered voters in Middleton, only 164, or 3 percent, showed up at the polls on Monday, May 14 for the annual own Election at Fuller Meadow School. Lynn Murphy was voted in as the new town moderator with a total of 129 votes. Kosta Prentakis was a write-in candidate for the 2-year appointment on the Regional School Committee and received 17 votes.
