He was born in Springfield, grew up in Longmeadow, attended Longmeadow schools and played hockey for Holy Name. He graduated from Longmeadow High School, where he also played hockey. Bousquet attended the University of Massachusetts at Amherst. He also lived in Springfield and Chicopee, and was a member of Sacred Heart Church in Springfield.
