Police ponder potted plant found in front of gymnasium at Westfield Vocational Technical High SchoolPolice said the plant bears a superficial resemblance to marijuana. Republican file photo Westfield – Police are scratching their heads over a mysterious plant found growing in a pot in front of the gymnasium at Westfield Vocational Technical High School Monday afternoon. A resident, thinking that there may have been pot growing in that pot, brought it to the police station and gave it to a detective. Police aren’t so sure. “It remains to be seen,” detective Todd Edwards said of the potted plant, which is about 14 inches high. “It has the characteristics of (a marijuana plant) but it was a little odd.
