Somerset woman injured in shooting, police search for suspect
An intense manhunt continued late Friday night for an unidentified man who allegedly broke into a Midland Road home and shot a woman with her own gun earlier in the day. As many as 50 police officers, some armed with tactical weapons, combed a widespread area in search of the gunman. The victim, whose identity was withheld by police, was taken to Charlton Memorial Hospital, Fall River, with a gunshot wound to an arm. Chief Joseph Ferreira said the intruder entered the garage and broke into the house by breaking a window between the garage and the dwelling shortly after 4 p.m.    — Wicked Local Somerset

3 women charged in tanning salon holdup
Somerset — Two Fall River women dressed in ponchos and brandishing knives held up the Hot Bodeez tanning salon in Somerset Saturday evening, according to police, who arrested them and charged them with armed robbery. — South Coast Today
